The Wisdom of Animism

Shamanism is not a religion, but a 10,000-year-old philosophy of nature. It views humans as humble participants in a sacred cycle alongside the elements. The Shaman (Bo) serves as the bridge, using ancient rituals to seek balance and healing, guiding us to hear the forgotten echoes of nature beyond the noise of modern life.

Global Spiritual Summit

The World Shaman Festival is the world's largest gathering of intangible cultural heritage, uniting global practitioners to protect vanishing primal beliefs and natural philosophies.
Every summer solstice, shamanic delegations from over 20 nations (incl. Tuva, South Korea, the USA, and Hungary)  gather with their tribal totems, weaving a magnificent tapestry of human belief.

2026 Agenda: Energetic Peaks

Sun-Welcoming (05:30 AM)
A hundred shamans drum at dawn, witnessing the primal vibration of faith.
Fire Sacrifice (21:00 PM)
Sacred flames at midnight; drums and heartbeats merge in an energetic climax.
Global Totems
Witness tribal banners and totems in a magnificent anthropological tapestry.
Peace Prayer
A collective spiritual resonance for environmental restoration and global harmony.

Venue: Khui Doloon Khudag

Khui Doloon Khudag, the sacred grounds of Naadam. This vast wilderness transforms into a "City of Souls" during the festival—a natural altar between sky and earth.
Located 30km from Ulaanbaatar, this site offers the raw power of the steppe, providing a pristine backdrop for authentic spiritual rituals.

Travel Itinerary

Day1 6/12 FRI · Overture in Ulaanbaatar

Arriving in Ulaanbaatar marks the transition from modern noise to the spiritual heartland of the ancient world. Your local curator will greet you at the airport, easing you out of travel fatigue.

Tonight, a private welcome dinner opens the journey—not as a briefing, but as a gathering of energies and a setting of intentions, preparing us for the dimensional dialogue ahead.

(A Ulaanbaatar city guide will be provided for you to explore the capital at your own pace.)

Day2 6/13 SAT · Opening the Oracle's Gate

After breakfast, drive into the open steppe to reach the exclusive grounds of the World Shaman Festival.

Witness the opening ceremony—shamans from across the globe enter in full regalia, ancient prayers rising with the wind. You are not merely observing; you are immersed in a living field of drumming, dance, and spiritual invocation. This is ritual as performance, and culture as resonance.

As night falls, the ceremonial fire is lit. Beneath a canopy of stars, drums pulse like a collective heartbeat. Here, there are no boundaries between stage and spectator—only the flow of shared energy. Sit with the shamans around the fire. Listen. Feel. Speak if you are called. This is your moment to truly belong to the night.

Day3 6/14 SUN · Purification: Ancient Rituals & Echoes of Life

Return to the festival for a collective blessing—drums and prayers rising for the land and all who gather.

Explore how shamanism lives in daily nomadic life: in the ger's orientation, in the rhythm of migration. Listen as elders speak—wisdom not taught, but felt.

At night, the Fire Ritual. Sacred flames rise, drums pulse like a second heartbeat. You need only be present—and something ancient stirs.

Day4 6/15 MON · Intelligent Discourse: Cosmology & Private Fire Ritual

Step away from the festival's energy and retreat to the sacred grounds of Mount Songino Khairkhan—a space reserved for intimate dialogue.

A senior shaman joins us for a private masterclass: unpacking the cosmology of the three worlds, the symbolic language of drum, robe, and mask. This is not lecture, but living knowledge. Your questions, your curiosity—all welcome.

As night falls, savor authentic Khorkhog (stone barbecue) to the quiet strains of the morin khuur. At nine, the sacred fire is lit—a private ritual of offering and intention, held for our group alone. Beneath the vast steppe sky, with the shaman's guidance, you connect not just to the moment, but to something far older. Something that was always waiting.

Day5 6/16 TUE · Khoomei Masterclass & Meditation

Into Terelj's rock-carved valleys. A stop at the Genghis Khan statue—empire-wide views from above.

Afternoon with a Khoomei master. Hear the ancient throat sing, then find your own voice echoing with stream and stone. Then a two-hour trek to Ariyabal Meditation Monastery—reachable only on foot.

Night in a steppe ger. Stars above, silence within.

Day6 6/17 WED · The Return: Carrying the Echoes of the Steppe

In the early morning, while the steppe still sleeps, we drive you to the airport.

Carry with you the wind of the Altai, the wisdom awakened by shaman drums, and a silence that will follow you home.

The journey ends—but the echo lasts.

Common Questions

Q:Is the Shaman Festival just a tourist show?

A:Absolutely not. It's a genuine annual gathering of shamans worldwide. We go further with an exclusive masterclass and private fire ritual—designed to take you beneath the surface to the living heart of the tradition.

Q:Suitable for non-religious or different faiths?

A:Yes. Shamanism is a philosophy of nature, not a religion. This is an inward journey—regardless of your beliefs, you'll find your own echo in the drums and the wild.

Q:What is the accommodation like?

A:Deep culture doesn't mean roughing it. 4 nights in a 4-star city hotel, 1 night in a premium steppe ger, plus private transport and bilingual guides—seamlessly balanced between wilderness and comfort.

Q:How is this journey different from a typical tour?

A:We skip the filler. In 6 days, you gain insider access: a private Khoomei lesson, closed-door shamanic teachings, an exclusive fire ritual. This isn't a tour—it's a cultural homecoming that can't be replicated.
