The Wisdom of Animism

Shamanism is not a religion, but a 10,000-year-old philosophy of nature. It views humans as humble participants in a sacred cycle alongside the elements. The Shaman (Bo) serves as the bridge, using ancient rituals to seek balance and healing, guiding us to hear the forgotten echoes of nature beyond the noise of modern life.

Global Spiritual Summit

The World Shaman Festival is the world's largest gathering of intangible cultural heritage, uniting global practitioners to protect vanishing primal beliefs and natural philosophies.
Every summer solstice, shamanic delegations from over 20 nations (incl. Tuva, South Korea, the USA, and Hungary)  gather with their tribal totems, weaving a magnificent tapestry of human belief.

2026 Agenda: Energetic Peaks

Sun-Welcoming (05:30 AM)
A hundred shamans drum at dawn, witnessing the primal vibration of faith.
Fire Sacrifice (21:00 PM)
Sacred flames at midnight; drums and heartbeats merge in an energetic climax.
Global Totems
Witness tribal banners and totems in a magnificent anthropological tapestry.
Peace Prayer
A collective spiritual resonance for environmental restoration and global harmony.

Venue: Khui Doloon Khudag

Khui Doloon Khudag, the sacred grounds of Naadam. This vast wilderness transforms into a "City of Souls" during the festival—a natural altar between sky and earth.
Located 40km from Ulaanbaatar, this site offers the raw power of the steppe, providing a pristine backdrop for authentic spiritual rituals.

Travel Itinerary

Day1 6/11 THU Overture in Ulaanbaatar

Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, a private transfer will escort you to the Toyoko Inn in the city center. You will have the day to rest, adjust to the altitude, and explore the capital's unique blend of nomadic heritage and modern pulse at your own pace.

In the evening, we host a crucial pre-trip orientation. This session covers essential Shamanic protocols and strict photography etiquette, ensuring every guest participates with the respect and cultural sensitivity required for such an authentic spiritual gathering.

Day2 6/12 FRI Opening the Oracle's Gate

We depart the city in the morning, heading deep into the steppe toward the festival grounds. Upon arrival, you will witness the grand opening of the World Shaman Festival, where traditional music and throat singing resonate across the open landscape.

The afternoon is dedicated to a global Shamanic symposium. This rare opportunity allows you to listen to spiritual leaders from diverse backgrounds as they share their ancestral wisdom and animistic worldviews.

Day3 6/13 SAT The Peak: Vibration of the Soul

At 5:30 AM, join hundreds of believers for the sun-welcoming ritual, where the rhythmic thunder of a hundred drums merges with the earth's pulse at dawn. This is followed by the grand entrance of global Shamans, each bearing the unique totems and flags of their ancestral tribes in a powerful display of spiritual identity.

Spend your afternoon exploring the nomadic market for spiritual artifacts and traditional crafts. As night falls at 21:00, we reach the festival's climax with the Great Fire Sacrifice. Around the sacred flames, the synchronized drumming and ancient chants create an overwhelming atmosphere of reverence and primal energy.

Day4 6/14 SUN Peace Prayer & Steppe Rhythm

In the morning, we participate in a collective prayer for world peace. This solemn ritual reflects the Shamanic commitment to natural balance and universal harmony, offering a moment of quiet reflection amidst the vast landscape.

The afternoon shifts to the vibrant energy of the Naadam games. Experience the "Three Manly Skills"—wrestling, horse racing, and archery—as they showcase the raw power and cultural pride of the nomadic people through intense competition and traditional games.

Day5 6/15 MON Reflection & Return

Enjoy a final morning on the steppe with optional horse or camel riding, embracing the slow and steady pace of nomadic life. This is a time for personal reflection and final photography, allowing the spiritual experiences of the past few days to settle.

In the afternoon, a private transfer will escort you back to Ulaanbaatar for your international departure. You leave with a wealth of images and a newfound inner peace, carrying the echoes of the Altai with you as a lasting resonance.

Common Questions

Q:How physically demanding is this journey?

A:The intensity is moderate. Challenges mainly stem from the 2,000m+ altitude and unpredictable steppe weather. Notably, the 05:30 AM sun-welcoming ritual requires an early start; we recommend a basic level of outdoor fitness and a spirit of reverence for nature.

Q:Can I take photos? Is this a performance?

A:This is absolutely not a folklore show, but a series of authentic rituals. Shamanic ceremonies are sacred; certain parts strictly prohibit photography. Our mentors will guide you on protocols and boundaries, ensuring you capture powerful moments with the utmost respect.

Q:What is the accommodation like? Is there hot water or Wi-Fi?

A:We stay at a specialized camp near the festival grounds to ensure no ritual is missed. Facilities are rustic, and power or Wi-Fi may be unstable. We see this as a "necessary disconnect," allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the rhythm of the drums and nature.

Q:Im traveling alone. How will I be accommodated?

A:Solo travelers are welcome and can be matched with a same-gender roommate. A HKD 1,500 supplement applies for private space. The price covers all private transport from UB, accommodation, meals, festival entry, and professional photography, excluding international flights and visas.

From Our Past Guests

“Much better than myself”

Many shooting locations can't be found without them, and the timing card is very accurate.

“Much deeper than I thought”

It's not the kind of trip to see flowers on horseback; you can get in touch with real local people and life, and the team's execution is very strong.

“If you really want to go to Mongolia, I would recommend them”

If you just check in, you don't need to look for team members, but if you want to really understand Mongolian stories, it's really worth getting along with them.

“Professional but not pompous”

No routine, no excessive commercialization, just the right pace, a very comfortable trip to Mongolia

“Very reliable and professional”

It's important to find a reliable companion when traveling in undeveloped areas. The team is very experienced and very reassuring.

“Don't worry at all”

Transportation, accommodation, and meals are all arranged very well, and they are also very professional in handling emergencies.

“A raw, unfiltered masterpiece”

My wife found them on XHS, and it was the highlight of our year. As an architect, I'm obsessed with landscapes; the Altai is nature's greatest blueprint. Erkhem's local knowledge is helpful. it didn't feel like a tour; it felt like an expedition with an old friend who knows every secret of the mountains

“Rugged yet professional”

Seamless logistics and professional grace. The 'soft luxury' offers a level of comfort I didn't think possible in such a remote landscape.
